Wholesome Homemade ‘Nutella’ Recipe

We’ve partnered with Raglan cacao company Mamamuti to bring you a mouthwatering chocolatey  gluten free toast topping that’s not only irresistibly delicious but also packed with antioxidants and beneficial nutrients—making it our go-to treat when we’re craving something sweet!

Ingredients:

2 slices of The Sourdough One, toasted
12 Mamamuti Cacao Buttons
2 Tbsp nut butter (we used almond butter)
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 ripe banana, sliced
1-2 tsp Mamamuti Cacao Nibs

Method:

  1. Over a double boiler, melt the cacao buttons, stirring occasionally until fully liquefied.

  2. Add the nut butter to the melted cacao and mix together until the mixture is creamy and smooth.

  3. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the maple syrup until it thickens to a spreadable consistency.

  4. Spread the homemade ‘Nutella’ generously over the toasted slices of The Sourdough One. Top with sliced banana and a sprinkle of cacao nibs.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy this wholesome treat as a perfect start to your day or a sweet snack.
